Lexi discovered Aerial Yoga five years ago, fell in love with it and began teaching onboard Sea Shepherd vessels from 2015-2018, bringing it to her new home of Geelong in 2019.
Lexi is a qualified multi-style Yoga Teacher, completing training in Hatha, Vinyasa, SUP and Yin Yoga, is a Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT) with Yoga Alliance and is also a qualified Aerial Yoga Teacher with 160 hours of Aerial Teacher Training, completing training at Ulu Yoga in Thailand, Body Flow Yoga in Melbourne and with Fly Float Create in Geelong.
Lexi opened Ocean Air Yoga in April 2019 and has welcomed hundreds of new flying yogis into the beautiful Monastery space. She is thrilled that so many have fallen in love with this style of Yoga, just as she did many years ago.
Fleur started her journey at an early age with a love of dance, training in various modalities. In 2004 she studied Reiki, Lomi Lomi, and completed her Diploma of Remedial Massage, awakening an even deeper thirst for knowledge on the human body and movement.
Having practiced yoga for much of her life, Fleur combined this with her passion for Aerial silks over 6 years ago and recently completing her Aerial Yoga Teacher Training in 2019 with Fly Float Create.
The next step on her path is completing the second half of the 500hr Yoga Teacher Training she postponed in 2015 (when becoming a mum), in the lineage of T. Krishnamacharya. Fleur is ecstatic to share in this experience with you all!
Misty was introduced to Aerial Yoga in early 2019 and it was love at first fly! She undertook her intensive 60-hour Aerial Yoga Teacher Training Course with Fly Float Create in November 2019. With well over a decade of a regular yoga practice, particularly Vinyasa and Jivamukti, Misty has a deep connection with the fundamental elements of yoga.
In 2013, Misty became a qualified Remedial Massage Therapist. This understanding of anatomy and muscle function is of great benefit to her yoga practice, as well as being an asset for her role as a teacher. Misty also has many years of experience teaching a wide variety of modalities, most notably Belly dance and Poi spinning.
Misty’s love of Aerial Yoga and the many benefits it provides is something she is extremely excited to share with others.
Meg commenced Aerial Yoga in early 2019 and instantly fell in love with it. In late 2019, Meg undertook her Aerial Yoga Teachers Training Course with Fly Float Create which allowed her to set to the sky and teach what she loves.
Meg has expanded knowledge in anatomy, working as a relaxation massage therapist along with over 8 years’ experience in Fire Dancing and Performance Arts. She is excited to bring aspects of these modalities into her aerial teaching.
Meg looks forward to sharing her love for the silks and yoga with everyone in many classes to come.
