If you are new to Aerial Yoga, there are a few classes to choose from.
Aerial Intro, Aerial Restore, Aerial Yin or Floating Sound Bath are all available to new students.
Once an Intro class has been completed and a certain level of competence is achieved, students may move into the Slow Flow, Flow and Flow 45 classes.
Be sure to check the list of contraindications under "who shouldn't" below.
The Intro class will ensure you feel supported and safe as you ease your way into the beautiful and healthful practice of Aerial Yoga. Held on the 2nd and 4th Saturdays of the month, as well as once a month on a Tuesday evening.
This class is suitable for all levels. This class is not suitable for pregnant students.
A low intensity class of relaxing postures where the silk is lowered close to the mat and students are peacefully guided through a deep supported release.
Suitable for all levels and ages. This class is not suitable for pregnant students.
This deeply restorative yoga style blends traditional Yin Yoga's long-held stretches for connective tissues with the support of an aerial silk hammock, creating a calming, therapeutic practice that uses the fabric for spinal decompression, joint release, and deep relaxation, targeting stress reduction and nervous system reset.
Hammocks are set to a low height and beautifully support you to allow accessibility for deep stretch and release through the body.
Feel more peaceful, relaxed, be able to think clearer, relieve anxiety, worries, fears and create harmony within. Be held in your own personal floating cocoon. Drift off as you let the soothing sounds and vibrations move through you as they realign you from the inside out.
Suitable for all levels and ages. This class is suitable for pregnant students.
Yin yoga targets your deep connective tissues, like your fascia, ligaments, joints, and bones. It’s slower and more meditative, giving you space to turn inward and tune into both your mind and the physical sensations of your body. Yin Yoga poses are held for longer periods of time than you would in other styles of Yoga which helps you stretch and lengthen those rarely-used tissues while also teaching you how to breathe through discomfort and sit with your thoughts.
Ocean Air Yoga is for adults and children at varying ages, levels of fitness and with differing goals and intentions. It IS for you:
Aerial Yoga is not for those within 6 weeks of surgery, glaucoma, heart conditions, complex spinal injuries, un-medicated high blood pressure or who are pregnant.
